Meghalaya's adventure enthusiasts have more to rejoice since the state now boasts the first of its type sky riding facility. Officially opened on Wednesday at the Tree House Resort close to Burny Hills, a well-known location noted for its scenic beauty and now exciting new attraction, the much-awaited facility was inaugurated.

With Arunachal Pradesh initially, this sky cycling arrangement is only the second one in the whole Northeast. The new adventure sport presents a singular experience: riding a high-tension metal cable hung in the air! Riders will be able to savour the breathtaking views of the area from above, therefore combining adventure with natural beauty.

The facility is meant to be exciting yet also safe. At the inauguration Nikman Ch Marak, the Deputy Chief Executive Member of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council, was the guest of honour. "This facility will not only draw adventure sports aficionados but also open fresh prospects for the local economy." he remarked.

JTK Marak, the proprietor of the resort, expressed his enthusiasm for upcoming developments to turn the location into a much more major centre for adventure sports. He indicated ideas for including indoor sports arenas, rock climbing, and zip-lining among other activities. JTK claims these projects will enable local young people to participate in constructive and positive events. These events provide an opportunity for him to concentrate on better, more gratifying hobbies, therefore guiding him away from destructive influences like drug misuse and drunkenness.

Akim B Sangma, assistant pastor of the Garo Baptist Church in Tura, blessed the inauguration event with his remarks on the good influence such businesses may have on the nearby population Notables include FK Marak, Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations, and Ronald Rikman Sangma, head of the Hundred Drums Wangala Festival Committee, also spoke at the ceremony.
