The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the running of two special trains in an attempt to alleviate the additional passenger frenzy during the hectic holiday season. These services will guarantee better travels for all and help to accommodate the increasing number of tourists.

Special Train from Dhubri to Dibrugarh

NFR will run a limited term special train between Dibrugarh and Dhubri starting December 4, 2024. From December 4 to December 7, 2024 the train will run one journey in both directions.

Beginning at Dibrugarh at 7:30 AM on December 4, the special train No. 05938 is expected to arrive at Dhubri the following morning at 2:05 AM. Special train No. 05937 will depart Dhubri at 7:20 PM on December 7, 2024, leaving passengers heading opposite route and arrive in Dibrugarh at 4:30 PM the following day.

Along its way in both directions, this unique train will pass at several significant stops like New Tinsukia, Naharkatia, Simalugiri, Furkating, Lumding, Guwahati, Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, Fakiragram, and Golokganj.

With 22 carriages total, the train will provide a range of seating choices. Whether you're budget-conscious or comfortable, passengers can select from AC-III tier, sleeper class, and general seating coaches to guarantee there is something for everyone.

Additional Service Between Kamakhya and Anand Vihar Terminal

Apart from the Dibrugarh-Dhubri dedicated train, NFR is also extending the frequency of a special train between Kamakhya and Anand Vihar Terminal. From December 6, 2024, this unique train will now make four more runs in both directions.

From December 6 to December 27, 2024 Train No. 02525 (Kamakhya – Anand Vihar Terminal) will run every Friday. Train No. 02526—Anand Vihar Terminal – Kamakhya—will run every Sunday from December 8 to 29, 2024 on the return leg.

These trains will stop at all the customary stations and follow their current itinerary. There will be 22 coaches on the trains, ranging from AC-first class to AC-II tier, AC-III tier economy, general seating coach to sleeping class.

Given the higher demand, these actions are a part of NFR's attempts to make travel more handy and comfortable for consumers throughout the peak season. These unique trains provide a dependable travel choice whether your trip across the region or your holiday trip home.
