1. Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir

Gulmarg, the "Meadow of Flowers" in Jammu & Kashmir, is one of the best places in India to see snow.

Gulmarg is unique because it is home to the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering. This institute teaches outdoor sports like skiing, trekking, and mountaineering.

With good transportation links, you can get to Gulmarg by train, plane, or car. 2. Auli, Uttarakhand 

Another great place to visit in India for snow is Auli, which is in Uttarakhand. It has great ski slopes and stunning views of the Nanda Devi mountain range.

For a skiing trip, its slopes are great. Auli is known as the "skiing destination of India" because it is the centre of many ski events and championships. 3. Munsiyari, Uttarakhand

Hidden in Uttarakhand's Kumaon area is the cute village of Munsiyari, which could be one of the best places in India to see snow.

Munsiyari is a hidden gem for people who love winter. The unique thing about it is that it might not be as busy as other hill towns. There's a reason why it's called Little Kashmir. There is a beautiful view of some of the highest peaks in the Himalayas, like Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, and Panchachuli, which are always covered in snow.

In the past, trade between India and Tibet went through the Johar Valley, which is where you start your trip. This place gets a lot of snow, especially in the winter.

The name Munsiyari means "a place with snow," and it really does live up to that name. Winter here is a peaceful wonderland that snow fans will love. You can walk on snow-covered paths and maybe catch a glimpse of the elusive Snow Leopard. 4. Katao, Sikkim

Katao is at an impressive height of about 15,000 feet above sea level, and it snows a lot, which attracts adventurers and nature fans who like to ski, hike, and camp.

Not many people know about Katao, but it should be on the list of the most beautiful places in India to see snowfall. The name "Switzerland of Sikkim" comes from the beautiful scenery that makes people think of Switzerland when it snows.

The trip to Katao is an adventure in and of itself. Gangtok, another famous place to see snow, is 144 km away from Katao, and you need an army pass to visit.

5. Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh
